Horizon Field Trips:
Are a smashing success. Children have FUN, learn about the sport of gymnastics, and get a great workout. The first field trip of the year is FREE to groups of 25 or more students.

Our fun filled hour includes:
Warm up song:
The students learn to follow directions while doing an exciting warm up song.

Stretches:
Everyone gets to use his or her outdoor voice while saying the names of the stretches such as pike, flex, straddles.

Obstacle Course:
This is always a hit! Included are the wedge to roll down and the pit to jump into (and get out of).

Beams
:
The students do beam rounds and use 3 or 4 beams while doing different skills such as step and slide and crawl. Have you ever tried to crawl on a balance beam?

Bars:
How strong are your arms? We do Peek a Boos (chin ups) and L hangs which need strong tummy muscles.

Trampoline:
We crawl on and off to instill safety and respect of the trampoline. While on the trampoline we see how quickly we can stop bouncing (its a game to the students) and seat drops, which take a lot of coordination and are an exciting skill to learn.

Cool Down:
After all students have rotated through the equipment, we sit in a circle and do a cool down song using coordination and listening skills such as pass the beanbag.
